Interested in contributing to impactful research, that will help the lives of parents and their babies?

I was recently contacted by the team running The Caliper Project, through the Mother and Child Health Initiative, at Sick Kids Hospital, here in Toronto. The team walked me through the details of their impactful and impressive research project.

The Mother and Child Health Initiative is currently embarking on a new study to improve the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease in pregnant women. This is great news! Their research will push the knowledge of the pregnant body further, in order to help improve the health of pregnant folks and their babies.

Participation in the Mother and Child Health Initiative involves:

• Completion of a consent form and short questionnaire (completed online)

• A small blood donation, completed at a Life Labs near you (~3 tbsps)

• As a thank you, each participant will receive $25 and a gift bag 👏

Participants have the option to participate up to four times, once at each trimester and once postpartum, and receive a thank you gift each time.

Sick Kids is located in Toronto but pregnant people who live outside of Toronto, who are interested in taking part, can do so if they’re able to attend a clinic in the city.
